In this reel, I’m showing the correct way to lower the arm. In the top clip, you’ll notice I begin softening the elbow before arriving in bras bas. I always tell my students to imagine a small ball under the armpit — this helps them keep space and avoid ‘closing’ the armpit as they come from seconde into bras bas. Keeping that openness is what makes the arm pathway look coordinated, lifted, and true to classical ballet technique.
